Dear Parents and Campers,
Thank you for joining us at STEAM & Sports Camp and Youth Robotics and Leadership Camp 2023! Another summer camp season is in the books and the transition back to school has begun. What a journey, travelling to the past and back to the present – being immersed in the historical milestones, exploring new ideas, making new friends and trying new things. We end this camp season with an eye towards the future and the excitement that lies ahead. I think it is important to take a moment to consider the special moments and memories created in the past 8 weeks. As I pause to reflect, my heart is full of gratitude to the staff, for our campers, and our camp parents, who have entrusted your child(ren) to us.
To our campers who showed up every morning looking forward to the lessons and activities we had planed. You are the reason we do what we do! Engaging and staying engaged, trying new things, and always ready for action, appreciating the many experiences that there are to offer. You have acquired an increase in innovation and creativity, a deeper connection for communication and personal relationships, and a greater sense for critical thinking, learning, and problem solving!
And to our camp parents who trusted, supported, and engaged with us along the way – thank you! We could not have done this without you. We are grateful that you supported your child(ren)’s growth by encouraging their learning, asking them questions, and even chatting with our counselors during Uconnect.
The wonderful thing about STEAM camp is that it’s more than just a place to spend summer days. It’s an experience that becomes part of each child – learning and growing, having the strength and skills to overcome obstacles, and explore the world. Alongside our counselors and new friends, your child(ren) celebrated their successes.
As the days ahead grow cooler and the leaves begin to change, my hope is for our campers to not only remember their experience here with us, but continue to build upon what they have learned and continue being active in their own learning. We can’t wait to have you back again next year.
